Role: Oracle Data Lake Engineer / Architect
Location : USA Remote
Employment Type: [Contract / Full-Time]
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Data Lake Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data lake and data engineering solutions using Oracle Cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Data Lakehouse, data integration, ETL/ELT, SQL, and cloud-based data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable data lake/data lakehouse architectures on Oracle Cloud.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
  • Build ETL/ELT processes using Oracle data integration technologies.
  • Work with OCI Object Storage, Autonomous Database, Oracle Data Warehouse, and related OCI services.
  • Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation logic.
  • Implement data ingestion from databases, APIs, files, applications, and other enterprise sources.
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Implement data quality, validation, governance, security, and access controls.
  • Work with data architects and business teams to understand data requirements.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production data pipelines and resolve data issues.
  • Support cloud migration of legacy data platforms to OCI.
  • Implement CI/CD and automation for data engineering workflows.
Required Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Lake / Data Warehouse.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Experience with Oracle Data Lake / Data Lakehouse architectures.
  • Strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills.
  • Experience with OCI Object Storage.
  • Experience with Oracle Autonomous Database / Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW).
  • Strong ETL/ELT experience.
  • Experience with OCI Data Integration or similar data integration tools.
  • Knowledge of Python for data engineering and automation.
  • Experience working with APIs, JSON, CSV, Parquet, and other data formats.
  • Understanding of data modeling, metadata, data governance, and security.
  • Experience with cloud-based data architecture and migration.
