Job Description

We're working with a well-established and growing main contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality projects across Scotland. Due to a strong pipeline of secured work, they're looking to appoint a Project Manager to join their team.


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has already gained experience delivering construction projects and is looking for greater responsibility, autonomy, and career progression within a supportive business.


The Role

As Project Manager, you'll take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring they're delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with site teams, commercial staff, clients, and subcontractors, you'll play a key role in successfully delivering a range of projects across the commercial, education, healthcare, industrial and public sectors.


Responsibilities

  • Manage construction projects from inception to handover.
  • Lead and coordinate site teams and subcontractors.
  • Develop and monitor project programmes.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely and in line with company procedures.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project costs and support commercial performance.
  • Identify and manage project risks.
  • Maintain high standards of quality throughout delivery.


What We're Looking For

  • Experience working for a main contractor in a Site Manager, Project Manager or similar delivery role.
  • Proven experience managing construction projects or leading packages on larger schemes.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certification.
  • A positive attitude and ambition to develop your career.
  • Experience in the defense sector is advantageous.
