Sr. Data Scientist (AWS, AI/ML) Healthcare Domain

Location: DC Metro Area (Hybrid 1 2 Days/Month Onsite)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Data Scientist with 15+ years of overall IT experience and 8+ years of recent hands-on Data Science experience. Candidates must have current Health Insurance domain experience and strong expertise in AWS, AI/ML, and Machine Learning model development & deployment.

Must Have:

• 15+ years of overall IT experience

• 8+ years of recent experience as a Data Scientist

• Current Health Insurance customer/project experience (Mandatory)

• Strong Python and SQL programming skills

• Spark/Scala experience

• AWS expertise, including:

  • SageMaker

  • Bedrock

  • Kendra

  • Lambda

• AI/ML model development and deployment

• Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Predictive Modeling

• Random Forest, Decision Trees, Neural Networks

• Supervised & Unsupervised Learning

• Clustering, Forecasting, Statistical Modeling

• Production-ready Python code with unit testing

• Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy

• Data Visualization using Python

Preferred:

• Agentic AI

• Healthcare Analytics

• Hadoop/Hive

• R, SAS, SPSS, MATLAB, or Stata

• ETL & Big Data Technologies

• Leadership experience on Data Science projects

Candidate Criteria:

• Location: DC, MD, VA (or nearby driving distance only)

• Hybrid: 1 2 monthly visits to the DC Metro area

• Interview: 2 Video Rounds
