Employment Type: Contract

Client - Partnered with a global leader in digital transformation and IT services, working with some of the world's largest organisations. The business delivers complex technology transformation programmes that require innovation, collaboration and thought leadership.

Role - We are seeking an experienced SAP Ariba Solution Architect to lead the architecture and solution design for a major enterprise Procurement Transformation programme.

This senior role requires deep expertise across the SAP Ariba Suite, Source-to-Pay (S2P), procurement architecture and enterprise integration. You will own the end-to-end SAP Ariba solution architecture, translating business requirements into scalable solutions and ensuring seamless integration across SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BTP/CPI and third-party platforms.

Working closely with Procurement, Finance, Business and IT stakeholders, you will provide architecture leadership throughout the programme, ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, integration and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • SAP Ariba Solution Architecture
    • Own the end-to-end SAP Ariba solution architecture across large-scale procurement transformation initiatives.
    • Lead solution design workshops, translating business and procurement requirements into scalable, secure and sustainable SAP Ariba solutions.
    • Provide architecture leadership across Ariba Buying, Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP) and Guided Buying.
  • Integration & Enterprise Architecture
    • Design and govern integrations across SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BTP/CPI and third-party applications.
    • Define solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, integration strategies and technical specifications.
    • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, cloud and integration governance standards.
  • Architecture Governance & Delivery
    • Lead architecture reviews, risk assessments and solution assurance, providing technical guidance throughout the delivery life cycle.
    • Support future-state procurement architecture, transformation roadmaps and business case development.
    • Collaborate with implementation partners, Project Managers, Business Analysts and technical teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Act as a trusted architecture advisor to senior Procurement, Finance, Business and IT stakeholders.
    • Lead solution and architecture workshops, influencing key technology and procurement decisions.
    • Ensure alignment between business strategy, procurement processes and the wider enterprise technology landscape.
Key Skills:
  • 10+ years' relevant SAP Ariba Solution Architecture experience, with a proven track record delivering large-scale procurement and sourcing transformation programmes.
  • Deep expertise across the SAP Ariba Suite, particularly Ariba Buying, Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP) and Guided Buying.
  • Strong end-to-end understanding of Procurement, Source-to-Pay (S2P), Supply Chain, Vendor/Supplier Management and associated business processes.
  • Proven integration expertise across SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BTP/CPI and external third-party platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, cloud technologies, security, integration patterns and governance, with experience producing solution blueprints and architecture artefacts.
  • Proven experience leading architecture governance, solution assurance, architecture reviews and risk assessments within complex enterprise environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and consulting skills, with the ability to influence senior business and technical leaders and facilitate complex solution design workshops.
