The Role
As Head of Marketing, PLE, you'll play a pivotal role in driving commercial growth across one of the most exciting luxury event portfolios in the global travel industry.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you'll lead the PLE marketing team and translate commercial objectives into effective marketing plans that drive audience growth, customer acquisition, engagement, registrations and revenue.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a commercially minded marketer who combines strong performance marketing expertise with an understanding of brand building and customer experience. Our team already has strong brand, creative and content capabilities, and we're looking for someone who can build on these strengths by bringing a sharper focus to performance, measurable results and marketing effectiveness.
You'll work closely with our commercial, design, content and event management teams to ensure marketing activity delivers tangible business outcomes. From optimising campaign performance and identifying new growth opportunities to exploring how AI and emerging marketing technologies can improve effectiveness, you'll help us continually evolve how we reach, engage and convert our global audience.
We're looking for someone who can connect creativity with commercial impact: a confident team leader who is equally comfortable shaping marketing plans, analysing performance metrics and getting involved in campaign execution.
Who Will Thrive in This Role?
This role would suit an experienced marketing leader with a strong track record in performance marketing, demand generation or customer acquisition, ideally with experience managing a small team and responsibility for marketing budgets and commercial results.
You'll bring the ability to look beyond activity and brand awareness to understand what is driving engagement, conversion and revenue. You'll know how to use data and insight to improve campaign effectiveness, optimise marketing investment and identify opportunities for growth.
You'll thrive if you:
- Have a strong performance marketing mindset and a track record of delivering measurable commercial results.
- Know how to balance brand building with performance marketing to drive acquisition, engagement and conversion.
- Are commercially minded, comfortable with budgets and marketing performance metrics, and focused on return on marketing investment.
- Enjoy being hands-on with campaign planning, execution, measurement and optimisation.
- Can bring together brand, content, creative, performance and commercial teams around shared objectives.
- Are curious about new marketing technologies, including AI and agentic AI tools, and how they can improve productivity and campaign performance.
- Take ownership, challenge existing approaches constructively and identify new opportunities for growth.

- Lead, mentor and motivate a small, high-performing marketing team, building on existing strengths across brand, content and creative.
- Create a collaborative, commercially focused environment where teams work towards shared objectives and measurable results.
- Provide coaching, feedback and development opportunities, encouraging data-led decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Manage departmental budgets effectively, making informed decisions about marketing investment and reporting performance to the MD of PLE.
- Prioritise workload across a busy international events calendar while remaining actively involved in campaign delivery.
