Pension Benefits Services Specialist

Remote – Work From Home

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour. This pay rate may be lower than your state's minimum wage, please keep that in consideration before applying.

About the role:

Conduent is seeking a Pension Benefits Services Specialist to assist participants with questions about their pension benefits and plan provisions. In this fully remote role, you will primarily handle inbound telephone calls, with occasional outbound calls and callbacks, to explain plan options, answer questions, complete transactions, and provide guidance on applicable forms and processes.

You will support multiple clients, learning and following their specific procedures to deliver accurate, professional participant service. This role offers relatively low call volume compared with traditional high-volume call center environments.

What you’ll do:

  • Answer participant questions and explain applicable pension plan provisions and available options.
  • Research inquiries, complete transactions, and provide guidance on required forms and processes.
  • Document participant interactions accurately in the case management system.
  • Complete callbacks promptly and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Follow client-specific procedures and meet established quality, accuracy, and timeliness standards.
  • Protect confidential participant information and comply with applicable company, client, privacy, and security requirements.

What you’ll need:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent listening skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to explain information clearly and professionally.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and client-specific procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • The ability to work independently in a remote environment and adapt to multiple client requirements.
  • A professional, patient approach to participant service.
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to meet established performance expectations.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in benefits administration, pension services, customer service, call center operations, or transaction processing is helpful. Experience with defined benefit (DB) pension plans is a plus, particularly familiarity with pension terminology, plan provisions, and participant services.

Training & Schedule:

  • Training: Approximately 7–8 weeks of virtual training covering systems, processes, and client-specific requirements.
  • Schedule: Full-time, fully remote position, with scheduled hours falling between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.

Work from home requirements:

Applicants must meet the following technical requirements to work remotely:

  • Pass an internet speed test with download speeds of at least 25 Mbps, upload speeds of at least 5 Mbps, and a ping of 175 ms or less.
  • Have the ability to connect to a modem/router using an Ethernet cable.

Due to varying state and local minimum wage laws, we are currently only able to hire candidates residing in states where our compensation structure complies with applicable wage regulations. As a result, we may be unable to consider applicants from certain states or municipalities at this time.
