About the Role
We are seeking an experienced AS400 Techno-Functional Consultant to support and enhance our Warehouse Management ecosystem. In this role, you will act as the liaison between business operations and technology, ensuring warehouse processes are effectively supported through the WMi platform.
You will collaborate with warehouse operations, business stakeholders, and IT teams to deliver system enhancements, provide production support, facilitate implementations, and optimize warehouse workflows. This position requires a strong functional understanding of warehouse operations combined with technical knowledge of WMi and AS400/iSeries environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide functional and technical support for WMi applications across implementation, enhancement, and production environments.
- Configure and maintain WMi modules to align with evolving business and operational requirements.
- Engage with business users to gather, analyze, and translate warehouse requirements into effective system solutions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve warehouse processes including receiving, inventory management, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, replenishment, and order fulfillment.
- Investigate and resolve application issues, system defects, and interface failures while ensuring minimal operational impact.
- Coordinate and support testing activities, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and post-deployment validation.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and system reliability.
- Support integrations between WMi and enterprise applications such as ERP, Order Management Systems (OMS), and AS400/iSeries platforms.
- Analyze transaction data, interface logs, and operational reports to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain functional documentation, business process flows, configuration documents, and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in deployment activities, go-live support, hypercare, and ongoing system optimization initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience working with Warehouse Management Systems, including hands-on experience with WMi.
- Proven experience supporting WMS implementations, system configuration, enhancements, and production support.
- Working knowledge of AS400/iSeries environments and related operational support.
- Strong understanding of warehouse and distribution center processes and best practices.
- Experience eliciting business requirements and translating them into functional solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot application, integration, and operational issues.
- Experience supporting system interfaces between WMS and enterprise applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
