Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Java / Spring Boot Integration Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Spring Boot, Spring Integration, microservices, and containerized deployments and a proven ability to design scalable integrations, implement resilient services, and lead engineering best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build integrations using Spring Boot and Spring Integration DSL, including messaging channels, transformers, gateways, and routing patterns.


• Implement microservices, REST APIs, and asynchronous messaging solutions using Kafka, JMS, or ActiveMQ.


• Develop reusable integration components, templates, and libraries to accelerate delivery.


• Ensure code quality through unit tests, integration tests, and automated CI pipelines.


• Design and deploy Spring Boot services to containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.


• Partner with DevOps to integrate CI/CD, enforce image standards, and automate deployments.


• Optimize containerized workloads for scalability, performance, and security.


• Collaborate with product owners, architects, business analysts, and QA to translate requirements into solutions.


• Lead design discussions, participate in architectural reviews, and influence integration strategies.


• Mentor junior and mid-level developers, review code, and guide best practices.


• Communicate designs, trade-offs, and timelines to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the broader Spring ecosystem.


• 3+ years with Spring Integration, including channels, filters, routers, aggregators, and transformers.


• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP).


• Expertise with Docker, container image management, and Kubernetes deployments.


• Strong Java development skills focused on scalable, resilient, and testable code.


• Experience with Kafka, ActiveMQ, JMS, or equivalent messaging technologies.


• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins and GitHub.


• Knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, Spring Test, WireMock, and TestContainers.


• Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Log4J and Splunk.


• Prior migration experience from MuleSoft or other ESB technologies to Spring-based integrations.


• Experience with API gateway frameworks such as Spring Cloud Gateway or APIM.


• Experience with distributed tracing and observability frameworks.


• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.


• Proven success mentoring engineers and driving projects end-to-end.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with PostgreSQL.


• Background in Agile or Scrum environments.
