Job Description- Senior Lead AI Engineer – AI Foundations, LLM Core & Agentic AI

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Lead AI Engineer to lead the design and development of AI foundations, LLM-based systems, and agentic AI capabilities. The role will focus on building scalable, production-grade AI platforms and intelligent agents that solve complex business problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and development of AI/ML foundations and LLM-powered applications.
• Design and implement LLM pipelines, including prompting, RAG, fine-tuning, evaluation, and model optimization.
• Build agentic AI systems using tool calling, workflows, memory, planning, and multi-agent patterns.
• Develop scalable AI infrastructure, APIs, services, and reusable AI components.
• Evaluate and integrate foundation models and emerging GenAI technologies.
• Establish best practices for LLM evaluation, observability, safety, security, and governance.
• Work closely with product, engineering, data science, and business teams to translate use cases into production solutions.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across AI initiatives.
• Drive experimentation, proof-of-concepts, and transition successful solutions into production.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with LLMs, Generative AI, and AI application development.
• Experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and LLM evaluation.
• Strong understanding of agentic AI, tool/function calling, AI workflows, and multi-agent architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and modern AI/ML frameworks.
• Experience building scalable, cloud-based, production-grade systems.
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and software engineering best practices.
• Experience with platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and relevant AI/ML services.
• Strong problem-solving, architecture, and technical leadership skills.
