Position Overview: As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex mechanical design projects, ensuring high-quality results in line with customer requirements and industry standards. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers. Key Responsibilities:

Lead the mechanical design process for a variety of projects, from concept through to completion, ensuring designs meet functional, safety, and regulatory requirements.<br />Produce detailed mechanical drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.<br />Work closely with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, and systems engineers) to ensure seamless integration of designs.<br />Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers, helping to develop their skills and capabilities.<br />Collaborate with the project management team to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.<br />Conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues.<br />Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials, components, and services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.<br />Oversee prototype builds and support testing and validation phases.<br />Keep abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve design processes.Essential Skills &amp;

Qualifications:

A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.<br />Significant experience (5+ years) in mechanical design, preferably within a similar industry (automotive, aerospace, defence, industrial).<br />Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Revit, AutoCAD, or similar).<br />Solid understanding of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science.<br />Experience in leading design teams and mentoring junior engineers.<br />Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including assembly, machining, and injection moulding.<br />Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.<br />Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.<br />A proactive and solution-focused mindset with a hands-on approach.Desirable Skills &amp;

Qualifications:
