JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Penn State Great Valley seeks part-time Instructors (non-tenure track) in our technology and engineering programs. We are looking for professionals with substantial industry experience to teach in the following areas: Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Information Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Engineering Management.
Job Duties
- Deliver high-quality instruction in both online and in-person formats.
- Develop and update course materials to reflect current industry trends and practices.
- Engage with students to provide mentorship and support for their academic and professional growth.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A Doctorate degree in a relevant discipline is preferred; however, candidates with a Master's degree and significant industry experience will also be considered.
- Prior teaching experience, preferably at the graduate level.
- Demonstrated expertise and professional experience in the relevant field.
- Ability to teach in the late afternoons and evenings at the Great Valley campus in Malvern, PA, or online.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching and mentoring students.
- Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and technologies.
