Capital Markets Product Owner / Business Analyst - Cash Equities, Electronic Trading and Derivatives

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Capital Markets Product Owner / Business Analyst with strong expertise in Cash Equities, Electronic Trading, Algorithmic Trading, and Derivatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, traders, operations teams, and technology teams to drive product initiatives, define business requirements, support trading workflows, and ensure successful delivery of strategic trading platform enhancements. This role requires a strong understanding of front-to-back trade lifecycle processes, capital markets products, and electronic trading environments.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Act as liaison between business users, traders, operations teams, and technology teams.
• Support product roadmap planning and delivery execution.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
• Perform business process analysis, workflow reviews, and gap analysis.
• Create BRDs, FRDs, process flows, use cases, and business documentation.
• Support Agile delivery teams through backlog grooming, sprint planning, and requirement clarification.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and business validation activities.
• Ensure trading workflows align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

Required Experience

• 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or Product Analyst.
• Strong Capital Markets domain experience.
• Experience supporting Cash Equities trading workflows.
• Experience with Electronic Trading platforms.
• Understanding of Algorithmic Trading concepts and workflows.
• Strong knowledge of Derivatives products and lifecycle.
• Experience working with trading desks, operations teams, and technology teams.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Experience writing User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
• Experience supporting Agile and Scrum delivery models.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
