Python Lead

Location - NYC - 3 days onsite 

Introduction

The Python Lead will be responsible for leading the backend development using Django and Databricks. They will design scalable, secure APIs and microservices, integrate Azure Cloud services, and guide a technical team through architecture decisions, code quality, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of backend systems using Django/Databricks.
• Design and implement scalable, secure APIs and microservices architecture.
• Integrate Azure Cloud services for application deployment and management.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers.
• Optimize database performance and manage data storage (SQL and NoSQL).
• Ensure high performance and security standards; participate in architecture design and technical decision making.

Requirements

Required Skills

• Python and Django (expert)
• Microservices architecture design and implementation
• Azure Cloud services (hands-on); containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
• SQL/NoSQL databases, Git, Agile methodologies
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

• Azure Databricks, Delta Lake and Delta tables, PySpark

Experience & Expected Outcome
