Role: Ansible Automation Engineer

Location: Hybrid Onsite Dallas TX, Jersey city NJ and Tampa FL

Responsibilities

• Playbook & Role Development
• Design, develop, and maintain reusable Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules.
• Standardize automation workflows for infrastructure provisioning and application deployment.
• Infrastructure Automation
• Automate server provisioning, OS configuration, patching, and compliance validation.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for consistent, repeatable deployments.
• CI/CD Integration
• Integrate Ansible with Jenkins, Git, and other CI/CD pipelines.
• Support automated release management and deployment across environments.
• Platform & Tool Management
• Administer Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Ansible Tower, and AWX.
• Create and manage inventories, templates, workflows, and credentials.
• Collaboration & Governance
• Work with DevOps, Cloud, Security, and Infrastructure teams to identify automation opportunities.
• Define automation standards, frameworks, and best practices.
• Troubleshooting & Optimization
• Diagnose automation failures and optimize workflows for performance and reliability.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.

Required Skills

• Core Tools: Ansible, Ansible Tower/AAP, AWX
• DevOps & CI/CD: Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes
• Scripting: Python, Bash, Shell scripting
• OS & Infra: Linux/Unix administration, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
