Senior C# / ASP.NET developer

This contract position serves as an Application Developer, working independently and with others to analyze, design, develop, and test a new TSMS application for WSDOT.

The duties include application development, database design, data schema mapping, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and problem resolution in an iterative and interactive style of development. 

Mandatory & Desirable Knowledge and/or Skills Mandatory:

• Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field and/or 4+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience developing applications

• 4+ years of experience developing applications using C#, ASP.NET, MVC architecture pattern, and Entity Framework

• 4+ years of experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, Reporting Services • Experience using JavaScript, HTML, CSS

• Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio IDE

• Experience using/knowledge of Azure DevOps including source control, code review, build and release pipelines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable:

• Experience developing with jQuery, Knockout, Bootstrap or Vue.js

• Ability to successfully work independently and in a team environment

• Proven track record of organizing and managing complex data projects from planning through execution

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail • Excellent documentation and organizational skills
