Professional Summary
Highly skilled Automation Quality Engineer with strong experience in both manual and automated testing of mobile and device-based platforms. Proven expertise working in physical device lab environments, including device provisioning, flashing, configuration, troubleshooting, and large-scale test execution. Strong background in black-box testing, automation framework development, and OS-level validation. Hands-on experience with iOS ecosystems, Swift programming, Xcode, and device diagnostics.
Key Qualifications
Lab & Device Testing Experience
- Hands-on experience managing real-device test labs and multiple test devices.
- Device setup, provisioning, flashing, configuration, reset, teardown, and troubleshooting.
- Experience validating hardware-software interactions and device behavior.
- Familiarity with system logs, device diagnostics, and root cause analysis.
Manual Testing Expertise
- Strong black-box testing experience.
- Creation and execution of detailed test cases and test plans.
- End-to-end functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Defect identification, reproduction, documentation, and tracking.
Automation Skills
- Development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Experience with continuous test execution and validation pipelines.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar automation languages.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD environments.
iOS / OS Testing Experience
- Experience testing operating systems, platform features, and device-level functionality.
- Strong understanding of iOS device provisioning, configuration, and debugging.
- Knowledge of system logs, crash analysis, and troubleshooting techniques.
Programming Skills
- Swift programming experience with the ability to develop, modify, and maintain test code.
- Hands-on experience with Xcode.
- XCTest framework experience preferred.
- Exposure to Objective-C is an added advantage.
Preferred Background
- Experience working with Apple products, iOS devices, or mobile ecosystems.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced lab environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ideal Candidate Snapshot
- A QA/Automation professional with 6+ years of experience who combines strong manual testing fundamentals, real-device lab expertise, automation framework development skills, and hands-on Swift/iOS knowledge. Candidates with Apple ecosystem experience and a proven track record in device validation and troubleshooting will be highly preferred.
