Job Description
This is a broad and exciting Treasury Analyst front office role at the UK’s largest Water and Wastewater Company, in which you will gain exposure to our wider business and external stakeholders on all elements of treasury.
This role will give the right person an exciting challenge and scope to help shape the direction of our Treasury team.
You will be support the liquidity management in a Group with debt obligations of over £14bn, annual group interest costs of c.£500m and a derivatives portfolio with a notional value of over £10bn, reporting into the Assistant Treasurer.
What you’ll be doing as a Treasury Analyst
Responsible for completing daily cash management activities including money market funds, deposit transactions and facility drawdowns for the Group. Preparation of weekly, three months rolling cash forecast and support production of longer term forecast. Counterparty exposure and risk analysis. Create deals on the Treasury Management System. Prepare periodic covenant compliance certificates. Identify and implement process efficiencies and automation using the Treasury Management System including transaction inputting, reporting and market data uploads. Liaise with Treasury colleagues to ensure transactions are recorded and accounted for properly. Ensure all activities are undertaken in compliance with treasury policy and procedures. Develop new procedures and documentation where required. Support on projects/delivery of information e.g. to auditors and other stakeholders on the debt/derivatives portfolio. Support Assistant Treasurer with any other tasks/ad hoc activities or analysis.Base location: Reading - Hybrid Working pattern: 36 Hours

the role To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need is: A talented individual with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. An understanding of debt and derivatives transactions, including index-linked instruments. Treasury knowledge or experience. Good at building relationships, a team-player and an effective communicator Excellent MS excel skills, familiar with Treasury Management Systems. Part or fully qualified finance professionalWhat’s in it for you?
