ServiceNow Developer

UK Wide | Hybrid Working | £65,000 - £85,000 + Excellent Benefits (Depending on experience)

We're supporting a leading technology consultancy as it continues to expand its ServiceNow practice, delivering enterprise-scale transformation programmes for a broad portfolio of secure UK clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for ServiceNow Developers with around 2-5 years+ ServiceNow experience who are looking to work on complex platform implementations, enhance their technical expertise and progress within an established engineering team.

The Opportunity

You'll play a key role in designing, building and enhancing ServiceNow solutions that improve IT service delivery and operational efficiency across large enterprise environments.

Working within Agile delivery teams, you'll collaborate with architects, consultants and business stakeholders to develop scalable solutions, configure platform functionality and contribute to the successful delivery of multiple client projects.

Developers with stronger commercial experience will also have the opportunity to mentor colleagues, lead technical workstreams and take ownership of more complex solution components.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, configure and develop ServiceNow solutions using platform best practice.
• Deliver custom applications, workflows and platform enhancements.
• Build and support integrations with enterprise systems.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain scripts, automation and reusable components.
• Contribute to technical design, estimation and delivery planning.
• Produce clear technical documentation.
• Work collaboratively within Agile project teams.
• Support continuous platform improvement and optimisation.
• Mentor less experienced developers where appropriate.

Skills & Experience

We're interested in professionals with experience across several of the following:

• 2-5 years' commercial ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform.
• Experience developing rather than purely administering ServiceNow.
• JavaScript development skills.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS and AJAX.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum delivery environments.
• Understanding of relational databases.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with LDAP, Active Directory, SSO or web services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

ServiceNow Modules

Experience in one or more of the following would be particularly valuable:

• ITSM
• ITOM
• ITAM
• CMDB

Certifications

One or more of the following is desirable:

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• Certified Application Developer (CAD)
• ServiceNow Implementation Specialist certifications

Working Pattern

• Hybrid working model.
• Typically 1-2 days per week on client site, depending on project requirements.
• Opportunities available across the UK, including projects in Manchester, London, Birmingham, Bristol and Woking.
