Reinsurance Claims Account Manager

About the Opportunity

A well-established specialty insurance services organization is seeking an Account Manager, Ceded Reinsurance to join its team. This role is responsible for the reporting, billing, and collection of ceded reinsurance claims.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and an interest in reinsurance, claims, and coverage-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Review claims and coverage files to determine reinsurance reporting obligations.
• Prepare and provide initial notices to reinsurers.
• Deliver ongoing claim status updates to reinsurers.
• Manage ceded reinsurance billing activities.
• Monitor and collect outstanding reinsurance recoverables.
• Respond to reinsurer inquiries and information requests.
• Assist with special projects, including reinsurer audits and collateral-related requests.
• Support accurate and timely recovery of reinsurance balances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Law degree is a plus.
• CPCU or other insurance industry designation is a plus.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Prior reinsurance and/or insurance claims experience preferred.
