Software Engineer

Software Engineer (.NET / C# / React) Hybrid – 3 days per week central London 6 Months Contract Inside IR35 – daily rate Financial Services | Front Office Applications Are you an experienced Software Engineer looking to work on business-critical applications within a fast-paced financial services environment? We're looking for a talented developer to join a highly collaborative team responsible for supporting, enhancing and evolving a suite of front-office applications. You'll play a key role in maintaining essential business systems, resolving complex technical issues and delivering enhancements that directly impact front-office users. This is an excellent opportunity to combine hands-on software development with stakeholder engagement, while contributing to longer-term strategic projects, including the migration and modernisation of legacy applications. The Role

• Develop, maintain and enhance business-critical front-office applications.
• Provide application support, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Work closely with business users to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, reporting and database functionality.
• Investigate production issues, identify root causes and implement long-term improvements.
• Support strategic initiatives to migrate and rationalise legacy systems onto modern platforms.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. About You We're looking for someone who can combine strong technical skills with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. You'll ideally have:
• Strong commercial experience developing with .NET / C#.
• Excellent SQL database skills.
• Experience building front-end applications using React.
• Previous experience within Financial Services, ideally supporting Fixed Income, Trading or Investment Management systems.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• The ability to communicate confidently with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• A proactive approach with a passion for improving systems and processes
