Job Description

A leading global manufacturer of high-quality plastic components is looking to recruit an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its well-established engineering team.

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of production machinery and site equipment through a combination of reactive, preventative and planned maintenance activities. Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you'll play a key role in minimising downtime and supporting continuous production.

As a Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • The repair and service production machinery as well as participating in on-going day to day maintenance of the factory in general.
  • Assisting in the installation of new equipment and machinery
  • Supporting trouble shooting activities in respect to machine breakdowns, leakage's etc
  • Undertaking planned preventative/predictive maintenance activities in accordance with the annual TPM schedule.

To be successful in the role of the Maintenance Engineer, the ideal candidate will:

  • Be a time-served Electrical Engineer, with a minimum ONC
  • Be multi-skilled with an electrical bias, possessing good fault-finding skills
  • Have experience of maintaining plastic manufacturing machinery such as injection moulding machines, blow moulding machines or extrusion machinery.
  • Have experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
