Job Description

As a Senior Android Developer, you will be a part of an Agile team to build healthcare applications and implement new features while adhering to the best coding development standards.

Responsibilities: -

Design, develop, enhance, and support Android mobile applications for healthcare platforms. Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Owners to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Work closely with backend, database, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams.

Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.

Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices.

Support application deployment, release management, defect resolution, and production support activities.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

Participate in sprint planning, estimation, status reporting, and Agile ceremonies.

Proactively identify risks and recommend solutions to ensure successful delivery.

Demonstrate willingness to learn, support, and contribute to iOS and Java-based applications as part of a multi-platform development team.

Healthcare domain experience is an added advantage.

Educational Qualifications: -

  • Engineering Degree BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.

Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.

Skills: -

Mandatory skills

Android Development (Primary Skill)

5+ years of hands-on experience in Android application development.

Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Android application architecture.

Expertise with Android SDK, Jetpack components, Material Design, and modern Android development practices.

Experience implementing scalable architectures such as MVVM, MVP, and Clean Architecture.

Strong understanding of Android lifecycle, performance optimization, memory management, and debugging techniques.

Experience with local storage technologies including Room, SQLite, and Shared Preferences. Experience integrating RESTful APIs using Retrofit, OkHttp, JSON/XML parsing, and secure authentication mechanisms.

Cross-Platform Skills (Good to have)

Working knowledge of iOS development concepts and architecture.

Familiarity with Swift and iOS application development practices.

Strong Core Java programming skills with a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design principles. Willingness and ability to upskill, support, and contribute to iOS and Java applications when required. General Technical Skills Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD), SOLID principles, and design patterns.

Experience with unit testing and automation frameworks (JUnit, Espresso, XCTest exposure preferred).

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Proficient with Git-based source control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Good to have skills: -

Exposure to healthcare applications and healthcare workflows.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and mobile application release processes.

Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and integration patterns.

Experience mentoring and guiding development teams.
