Role Overview

We are seeking an IT Business Analyst to support the Retail/QSR Intelligence Team. This role focuses on an emerging digital solution designed to help locations improve food safety performance by transforming operational data into actionable insights. The project is in its early lifecycle, moving from a proof-of-concept to the enhancement phase, and requires working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment within a cross-functional team that includes a Product Owner and Scrum Master.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and manage user stories using Azure DevOps (ADO), including organizing ADO boards and the product backlog.
  • Collaborate effectively with product owners, engineering, UI, and data science teams.
  • Transform ambiguous and evolving needs into well-structured requirement sets.
  • Gather, document, and translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Document and understand APIs.
  • Work in an agile environment with multiple workstreams, managing dependencies across various teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience writing user stories and managing Azure DevOps, including organizing boards and backlogs.
  • Proven ability to work in an agile environment with multiple workstreams and manage dependencies across UI, engineering, data science, modeling, and product teams.
  • Demonstrated skill in transforming ambiguous needs into structured requirement sets.
  • Capability to gather, document, and translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate with product owners, engineering, UI, and data science teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with B2B web application solutions, digital products, or writing stories for mobile applications from the ground up.
  • Knowledge of food safety in Food Retail or QSR environments.
  • Experience in AI, Business Intelligence, or Data Science.
  • Skilled at collaborating with customers to refine and clarify requirements.
  • Familiarity with digital product roadmaps, working with APIs, integrating data streams, and leveraging AI modeling and agents.
