People & Culture Director | On-site
We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!
The Role
• Lead the delivery of the UK Production People Plan for theatrical and high-end TV productions.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Production People & Culture Partner team.
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex HR matters and advise production leaders on people issues.
• Maintain a visible presence across studios and on production sets to build trust and mitigate risks.
• Partner with US and international teams to align global production HR practices.
• Design and deliver training focused on respectful workplace behaviours and anti-harassment.
What You'll Need
• Significant senior HR experience in television, film, or similar freelance-led environments.
• Strong commercial judgment, critical thinking, and pragmatic business advisory skills.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Sound knowledge of UK employment legislation, union agreements, and production regulations.
• Passion for the film and television industry with a drive for outcomes and creative excellence.
