Role: Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Implementing an enterprise search solution to improve information retrieval across DPS systems.

Deploying the AI inventory and monitoring system (Darwin).

Developing and operationalizing various AI agents to improve internal efficiency and public facing services.

Establishing and enforcing AI governance to ensure compliance with cybersecurity, privacy, and statewide technology policies.

Required Skills:

Experience in building, deploying, and maintaining enterprise search solutions to improve information discovery and knowledge management.

Hands-on experience supporting the configuration, deployment, testing, and documentation of AI platforms and inventory management systems.

Skilled in implementing, testing, and optimizing AI agents to meet business unit requirements and enhance operational efficiency.

Knowledge of AI governance frameworks, including developing technical controls, documentation, policies, and processes to support responsible AI adoption.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, configure AI solutions, and ensure successful implementation.

Strong understanding of AI lifecycle management, system integration, testing, and deployment best practices.

Proficient in creating technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user guides for AI-enabled solutions.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to support enterprise AI initiatives and governance programs.

Experience working in Agile environments, participating in sprint planning, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement activities.
