Job Description

Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Location : Plano,TX
Duration: 11 months

Job Description: -
The Procurement specialist with sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, components,
and services required for elevator manufacturing operations. This role ensures timely availability of quality parts at competitive costs while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supportingcontinuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.

5+ years experience in working with Sourcing Domine.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for mechanical, electrical, electronics, and
structural components used in elevator systems.
Conduct RFQs, RFPs, and competitive bidding to achieve best-cost sourcing.
Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and long-term agreements while ensuring compliance
with company policies.
Monitor supplier performance through KPIs such as delivery adherence, quality, cost,
and responsiveness.
Manage purchase requisitions (PR) and convert them into purchase orders (PO) in the
ERP system (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
Ensure timely procurement of materials to support production schedules and new
product development.
Coordinate with logistics for inbound deliveries and customs clearance (if applicable).
Resolve issues related to delivery delays, part shortages, and discrepancies.
Identify costsaving opportunities through value engineering, supplier consolidation,
and localization initiatives.
Work closely with engineering for alternative material or supplier development.
Should have good communication skills and able to negotiate with suppliers.
Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Planning teams to understand
material requirements.
Address quality issues and support root cause analysis with suppliers.
Participate in new product introduction (NPI) projects for sourcing new components.
Qualifications

  • Engineering Graduate is preferred
    Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
    Technical skills
    Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (fabrication, machining, casting,
    electronics).
    Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics).
    Knowledge of Should Costing, cost breakdown analysis, and supplier audits.
    Soft skills
    Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
