Job Title: IT Specialist (Application Developer) _ Financial service
Client: Japanese Bank
Working Location: New York City, NY
Working Style: Hybrid (Minimum 2 days per week in the office)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: 70K - 90K
Working Hours: Standard business hours (Monday-Friday)

Job Summary
Seeking an Application Developer to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of internal and client-facing business applications. The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft technologies, SQL databases, and modern web development frameworks. This position offers opportunities to work on financial services and enterprise technology projects in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and enhance internally developed and third-party applications.
Provide support for Microsoft SQL Server databases and related applications.
Coordinate and perform application change management and deployment activities.
Support business users and IT teams in understanding application functionality and system design.
Assist end users with software utilization and troubleshooting.
Participate in application development, enhancement, and system migration projects.
Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and operational procedures.
Collaborate with project teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
Perform application testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
Support automation and process improvement initiatives where applicable.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of application development experience.
Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience with one or more of the following technologies:
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in financial services, banking, or capital markets environments.
Knowledge of financial instruments, wholesale banking, lending, or market risk management.
Experience with SWIFT messaging and payment systems.
Intermediate programming experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, VBA).
Experience with SharePoint administration.
Experience with UiPath Studio (RPA) development.
Experience working in a hybrid and multicultural environment.
Understanding of application security and change management best practices.
