• Understand customer needs, technical requirements and existing IT environments.
• Deliver technical demonstrations, presentations, workshops and proof of concepts (POCs).
• Promote the company's products, services and technical expertise.
• Design tailored technical solutions and architectures.
• Lead technical responses to tenders, RFIs and RFPs.
• Support Account Executives with customer meetings, sales opportunities and deal closure.
• Build customer relationships and industry networks.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and implementation teams to improve solutions and ensure smooth handovers.
• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies and competitor activity.

You will drive new business opportunities by identifying customer requirements, designing tailored technical solutions and architectures, and delivering compelling demonstrations and proof of concepts. You will provide technical expertise for tenders and proposals, support the deployment of solutions across virtualised and cloud environments, and work closely with sales, engineering and product teams to convert opportunities into successful deals.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify customer needs and recommend tailored technical solutions.
• Deliver engaging product demonstrations, presentations, workshops and proof of concepts to help win new business.
• Design technical solutions and architectures to meet customer requirements.
• Support technical responses to tenders, RFIs and RFPs.
• Design and support the deployment of technologies into virtualised and cloud environments, including VMware, Proxmox, Oracle Cloud, AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.
• Partner with the sales team to identify opportunities, strengthen proposals and close deals.
• Build lasting relationships with customers and key industry stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
• Work with product, engineering and implementation teams to ensure a smooth customer journey.

Skills and Experience

• Strong understanding of IT technologies and networking.
• Knowledge of virtualisation technologies, including VMware and Proxmox.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud, AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.
• Experience designing technical solutions and high-level architectures.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business benefits.
• A proactive, customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for supporting sales success.

Salary, Benefits and Location

• Salary of £80,000–£120,000, depending on experience.
