.NET Support Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a .NET Support Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Jersey City, NJ or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is part of the Treasury and Strategic Forecasting Technology team, responsible for end-to-end technology solutions and support for the office of the Treasurer. The ideal candidate will maintain and support .NET applications, work with a suite of DevOps tools to enable CI/CD, and ensure the overall health of supported applications.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support .NET applications on Windows/IIS, including deployments, issue resolution, and coordination with infrastructure and development teams
• Work on DevOps tools like BitBucket, Jenkins, JFrog artifactory, Ansible Tower and XL Release to enable CI/CD
• Ensure the overall health of the supported applications
• Manage code migrations, ensuring source control policies are being followed
• Apply application maintenance releases, upgrades and hot fixes as required
• Manage UNIX access, directory setup and required archival mechanisms
• Coordinate with infrastructure support team for outages/upgrades
• Perform platform capacity planning and management
• Serve as an escalation point for escalated production and/or platform issues
• Design solutions to reduce the operational and management complexity of the platform

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• 7-10 years of experience
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and shell scripting
• Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are mandatory
• Excellent communication skills (Verbal and written)

Desired skills:

• Experience with RedHat OpenShift

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
