Job Description

Due to an increase in workload growth within the business, our client, a leading engineering Manufacturing company based near York are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to join their existing team on a permanent basis.

As part of the Quality Engineering Team, candidates will be required to work with customers, supplier and internal staff to investigate and address NCR's raised.

Interested candidates will ideally be minimum HNC Qualified in a engineering/ quality discipline with a demonstrable background within Quality Engineering with a broad understanding of manufacturing processes including Fabrication, Machining and Assembly..

This position is based on days and available for an immediate start.

Hours - Mon - Thurs 0830 - 1630 / Fri 0830 - 1600

Role Description

  • Directly responsible for preparation of all System Certification Packs.
  • Manage the companys calibration register.
  • Collaborate with managers, engineers, and suppliers to develop and implement quality control measures and improvements.
  • Ensure that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support customer audits and inspections and address any non-conformances or corrective actions.
  • Create and maintain quality documentation and records, such as quality plans, inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and audit findings.
  • Work with the Quality Manager on continuous improvement projects.
  • Carry out job tasks safely using good working practises.

Skills & Attributes

  • Minimum HNC Qualified in an Engineering/ Quality discipline
  • Experience as a Quality Engineer within an Engineering/ Manufacturing environment.
  • Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes including Machining, Fabrication and Assembly
  • Certified in Auditing to 9001
  • Lead Auditor trained ( Desirable)
