Job Description
As a Systems Administrator, you'll manage Windows-based environments across on-premise and cloud infrastructure, applying security updates, troubleshooting networks, and keeping systems reliable and compliant. The ideal candidate is proactive and self-directed, comfortable investigating and resolving issues with minimal guidance, and thrives in an operations-focused role centered on system reliability and process improvement across diverse technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain multiple Windows-based systems across varied environments
- Apply mandatory software updates, Windows patches, and security remediation in a timely manner
- Perform system scans, analyze findings, and remediate vulnerabilities to meet security compliance requirements
- Troubleshoot and configure networks, including resolving connectivity issues and performing system/data recovery as needed
- Monitor and triage alerts using observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace), interpret dashboards, perform basic diagnostics, and work incidents through resolution
- Support cloud operations and environment management, preferably within Azure
- Manage pull requests using GitHub, maintaining clean configuration and version control practices
- Identify system improvements, optimize processes, and contribute to operational efficiency
- Work independently to investigate problems, propose solutions, and follow through without requiring predefined guidance
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience managing multiple Windows environments
- Proven ability to apply mandatory system updates, patches, and security fixes
- Experience troubleshooting networks and performing system and data recovery
- Experience with observability/monitoring platforms (e.g., Dynatrace), including alert triage, dashboards, and diagnostics
- Experience with cloud operations or cloud system management, preferably Azure
- Understanding of security compliance requirements and remediation workflows
- Experience managing pull requests using GitHub
- Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to independently investigate systems and identify solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience creating and maintaining Azure virtual machines using Windows Server images
- Knowledge of Windows server-side applications, including IIS web applications and SQL Server deployment/management
- Experience automating admin/ops tasks using PowerShell or Azure CLI to support repeatable server management
