The Role • Operate specialized equipment to load, unload, and relocate shipping containers. • Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Utilize various lifting equipment, such as cranes and top loaders, for container stacking and movement. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics operations. • Maintain a secure and organized work environment by adhering to safety protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Prior experience operating heavy machinery in logistics or industrial settings is preferred. • A strong emphasis on safety awareness and meticulous attention to detail. • Physical capability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and working outdoors in various weather conditions. • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on union seniority. • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
