Cyber Engineer – Onsite (Manassas, VA)

Supporting a Leading Aerospace Customer | Mission‑Critical DoD Cyber Programs

We’re hiring a Cyber Engineer to build secure, high‑performance software supporting mission‑critical DoD cyber operations. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in Linux environments, enjoy containerized microservices, and want to solve complex distributed‑system challenges at scale.

What You’ll Work On:

Secure C++/Java development for mission‑critical cyber systems 

High‑performance software optimization using parallelization techniques 

Containerized microservices in Linux (Docker/Kubernetes) 

Microservices architecture for distributed cyber capabilities 

Network traffic analysis and deep packet inspection

Full lifecycle engineering: requirements → design → development → testing → deployment → sustainment

What You Bring:

Ability to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Clearance (U.S. citizenship required) 

Strong experience with C++ and/or Java 

Background in parallelization, performance tuning, and distributed systems 

Hands‑on experience with Linux containers and Kubernetes 

Solid understanding of networking fundamentals 

Familiarity with secure development practices in cyber environments

Bonus Skills :

CI/CD pipeline experience 

Kubernetes lifecycle management 

Network reconnaissance + DPI 

Experience with Boost Asio, gRPC, Pcap++ 

Embedded systems security

Agile + DevSecOps experience
