Job Description

job summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer - Telmai Data Observability Specialist to design, implement, and support enterprise-scale data quality and observability solutions. Joining our Data & AI Practice, you will be responsible for ensuring data reliability across our core platform by leveraging modern data engineering frameworks and dedicated observability software. You will work closely with engineering, architecture, and business teams to proactively diagnose pipeline health, establish data trust, and clear the way for AI-driven initiatives.

responsibilities:

  • Implement, manage, and scale Telmai-based data observability solutions alongside automated data quality monitoring rules.
  • Design, build, and optimize high-throughput data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, and Databricks.
  • Perform root cause analysis on data quality incidents (schema changes, volume anomalies, missing records) and execute remediation paths.
  • Partner with enterprise data governance teams to maintain end-to-end data lineage and structural metadata documentation.



qualifications:

5-10+ years of enterprise data engineering experience with strong programming depth in SQL, Python, and PySpark.


Proven expertise in Data Observability and Data Quality Engineering frameworks, specifically with the Telmai platform.


Deep technical proficiency within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, SQL Server).


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


Prior experience working within the Insurance or Financial Services domains.


Knowledge of advanced Lakehouse architectures and enterprise governance tools like Collibra, Alation, or Atlan.


Active industry certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Databricks, or SnowPro.
