Software Engineer 4

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer 4 to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications. This role will work across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on development experience, understands modern application architecture and secure cloud technologies, and can work independently while collaborating with technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web-based applications.
• Gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop full-stack applications using object-oriented programming.
• Build and support REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations.
• Develop and optimize SQL and relational database solutions.
• Maintain application performance, security, and reliability.
• Participate in Agile development, testing, code reviews, and deployments.
• Use Git/GitHub for source control and branching.
• Support application servers, DevOps processes, and platform upgrades.
• Troubleshoot application and integration issues.
• Create technical documentation and collaborate with technical and business teams.

Must-Haves

• Bachelor''s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Mid-level or higher web application development experience.
• Strong experience with Java and/or modern web development.
• Experience with at least two of the following:
• Java/JSP/Servlets/JDBC
• React, Angular, Vue.js, or similar
• REST/SOAP APIs
• Oracle, DB2, SQL, or PL/SQL
• Apache Tomcat or similar application servers
• Strong object-oriented programming experience.
• Git/GitHub and unit testing experience.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies, APIs, and secure application development.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves

• Java, Oracle, or DB2 certifications.
• Oracle AEM or Oracle Visual Builder experience.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Maven, or Gradle.
• OWASP/web application security knowledge.
• Cloud application experience.
• Database performance tuning experience.
• Enterprise deployment and production support experience.
