Are you a procurement professional who combines strong commercial acumen with a passion for governance, compliance and best practice?
We are supporting a diverse and socially focused organisation in the search for a Procurement Compliance Manager to lead the development and delivery of procurement governance, policy and process improvement across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional who enjoys working collaboratively with stakeholders, embedding compliant procurement practices and driving measurable value for the organisation.
You will play a key role in strengthening procurement maturity, ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering tangible efficiency savings from the outset.
The Opportunity
This is a highly visible role operating across multiple business functions, where you will act as the organisation's subject matter expert for procurement compliance, policy and process.
Working closely with operational and senior stakeholders, you will ensure that procurement activity is planned, structured and delivered in line with regulatory requirements, internal governance standards and best practice principles.
Alongside leading procurement governance and assurance, you will identify opportunities to improve commercial outcomes, deliver value for money and support the organisation in achieving its wider strategic objectives.
The role also includes leadership responsibility for a small team, managing two direct reports across procurement and insurance services.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and continuously improve procurement policy, procedures and governance frameworks.
  • Ensure procurement activity across the organisation is delivered compliantly and in accordance with relevant legislation and internal controls.
  • Provide expert procurement advice and guidance to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Drive a culture of commercial awareness, procurement best practice and effective contract management.
  • Manage and maintain procurement schedules, contract registers and supplier records.
  • Oversee tendering and sourcing activities across a broad range of spend categories.
  • Monitor upcoming contract renewals and develop forward procurement plans.
  • Identify and deliver cost savings, efficiencies and value-for-money opportunities.
  • Produce high-quality reports and recommendations for senior leadership, committees and boards.
  • Ensure procurement processes remain aligned to legislative and regulatory developments.
  • Lead procurement training and awareness initiatives across the organisation.
  • Oversee insurance-related procurement activities and supplier relationships.
  • Line manage and develop two direct reports, fostering a high-performance culture.
About You
We're keen to speak with procurement professionals who can demonstrate a strong track record of balancing compliance and governance responsibilities with commercial delivery.
You will be confident challenging stakeholders where required, whilst building strong relationships across the organisation to influence positive outcomes.

  • Strong knowledge of UK public procurement legislation and procurement best practice.
  • Demonstrable success in improving procurement governance, policy and compliance.
  • Proven ability to identify and deliver savings and efficiency opportunities.
  • Experience managing end-to-end tendering exercises and contract awards.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical, reporting and presentation capabilities.
  • Experience producing reports for senior leadership, executive teams or boards.
  • Previous people management experience with responsibility for developing and motivating teams.
  • Professional procurement membership and commitment to continued professional development.
Desirable
  • MCIPS or equivalent procurement qualification.
  • Experience within housing, property, construction, maintenance or asset-intensive environments.
  • Exposure to insurance management and claims processes.
  • Knowledge of category management methodologies.
Why Apply?
