Senior Mainframe z/OS Systems Architect

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe z/OS Systems Architect with 12+ years of experience managing IBM Mainframe System/Network environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in z/OS installation, upgrades, customization, performance tuning, capacity planning, and enterprise mainframe administration.

Required Skills:

• 12+ years of IBM Mainframe z/OS Systems Programming experience
• Strong experience with z/OS installation, upgrades, and customization
• Expertise in JES2/JES3, Sysplex, and CFRM
• Hands-on experience with SMP/E installation and maintenance
• WLM administration, performance tuning, and capacity planning
• IOCP and HCD hardware configuration
• IBM zSeries hardware administration
• JCL and Mainframe Utilities
• Backup, Recovery, and Disaster Recovery planning
• IBM and third-party software installation and maintenance
• Hardware/software upgrades and datacenter migration experience
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain IBM z/OS environments.
• Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and system monitoring.
• Administer JES2/JES3, Sysplex, WLM, and CFRM.
• Install and maintain IBM and ISV software using SMP/E.
• Support hardware configuration using IOCP and HCD.
• Plan and execute hardware/software upgrades and datacenter migrations.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high system availability.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support enterprise environments.
