Senior Power BI Developer in Chicago, IL

We are looking for an experienced Senior Power BI Developer to design, develop, and modernize enterprise reporting and analytics solutions within an Investment Banking environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Power BI, Semantic Modeling, DAX, Power Query, and Power Apps Migration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop enterprise-level Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize complex Power BI Semantic Models.
  • Develop advanced DAX measures, calculations, KPIs, and Power Query transformations.
  • Design scalable dimensional models, including Star Schema, relationships, and hierarchies.
  • Optimize Power BI reports and semantic models for performance and scalability.
  • Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and appropriate data-access controls.
  • Lead and support Power Apps migration and modernization initiatives.
  • Integrate Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI to deliver end-to-end business solutions.
  • Work with SQL databases, APIs, and enterprise data sources.
  • Collaborate with investment banking stakeholders, data engineers, business analysts, and technology teams.
  • Support deployments across Development, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Ensure solutions meet financial-services security, governance, audit, and compliance requirements.

Strong experience with Power BI, Semantic Models, Power Apps Migration, DAX, Power Query, SQL, data modeling, and financial-services environments is preferred.
