About the Client

Our client is a globally recognized, multi-entity organization with a diverse portfolio of businesses and operations across international markets. As they continue to grow through strategic initiatives and complex business transactions, they are seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee technical accounting and financial reporting matters across the enterprise.

This is an opportunity to join a highly visible finance team, partner with executive leadership, and play a key role in supporting critical business decisions, compliance initiatives, and strategic transactions.

Role: Senior Manager, Technical Accounting

Location: Davie, FL




Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage technical accounting activities supporting multiple business units and international operations.
  • Research, interpret, and apply U.S. GAAP, IFRS, GASB, and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Monitor and implement new accounting pronouncements and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review technical accounting memorandums for significant accounting matters and conclusions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external advisors and technical accounting consultants.
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting processes and related financial reporting requirements.
  • Partner with external auditors and internal finance teams to facilitate audits and reporting cycles.
  • Draft and review technical accounting-related financial statement disclosures.
  • Evaluate the accounting implications of new business initiatives, contracts, and strategic transactions.
  • Provide accounting guidance on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other complex transactions.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance controls, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor and develop accounting professionals while fostering a high-performance team environment.
  • Support cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Active CPA or equivalent certification required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Public accounting experience, preferably with a Big Four firm, strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical accounting expertise with deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and related accounting guidance.
  • Experience preparing technical accounting research and position papers.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
