Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Engineering Analyst is a member of our logistics facilities operations engineering team and contributes to various equipment or process improvement projects in our distribution centers. The Analyst performs supporting work for larger initiatives being managed by the team. Common areas of work include: applied industrial engineering principles, labor standards evaluation, developing data queries and analysis to gain insight on a process, facility and process design, space planning, process improvement, and material handling equipment support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain, develop, and implement accurate engineered labor standards including evaluation of best method across various distribution center job functions. Collaborate with business partners to communicate and implement labor standards changes.
Conceptual design of new processes, including estimates of labor standards, productivity, layout and capacity.
Partner with logistics operations team to Investigate and recommend methods improvement, cost reductions, and capacity enhancement options.
Demonstrate excellent data analytic skills and able to clearly communicate results and recommended next steps to internal and external business partners.
Assist in material handling equipment design, procurement, and installation with oversight from senior members of engineering team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or other related engineering discipline
1-3 years of experience in a role supporting distribution or manufacturing
Experience conducting time studies and establishing single metric productivity targets or engineering labor standards
Understanding and using work measurement methodologies
Great attention to detail and has strong analytical and problem solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel)
Basic knowledge of relational databases, creating queries and reports
Ability to work on multiple projects and priorities
DESIRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
Database experience and SQL experience area a plus
MOST certification or experience with a labor management system is a plus
Experience with AutoCad is a plus
Experience supporting conveyor equipment or unit handling equipment is a plus
Project management skills are a plus
