Job Summary:
Mattress Firm Commercial Sales is seeking a motivated and results-driven Assistant Sales Manager to help lead our growing B2B sales organization. This individual will play a critical role in coaching, developing, and supporting a team of approximately nine sales professionals while driving performance through data analysis, pipeline management, and process optimization.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a passion for developing talent,
identifying growth opportunities, and using data to improve sales performance. This role is well suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing people leadership with analytical decision-making.

Essential Responsibilities
Conduct weekly one on one coaching session to drive performance, accountability and professional development
Analyze sales performance against budget, KPI’s and activity metrics to identify trends, coaching opportunities and areas for improvement. Monitor and manage sales activity through CRM, including quotes, opportunities, pipeline health, assigned leads, inbound leads, and trade show lead follow-up.
perform regular call reviews and live coaching sessions to improve sales effectiveness, customer engagement, and conversion rates.
Develop and execute performance improvement plans for underperforming team members and structured onboarding and success plans for new hires. Ensure consistent adherence to sales processes, CRM usage standards, and lead management expectations. Utilize data and reporting to identify business trends, maximize seasonal sales opportunities, and improve overall team performance. Prepare and present weekly performance summaries, KPI reporting, and actionable recommendations to the Sales Manager
Assist with the development and enhancement of training materials, sales tools, and best practices.
Recommend and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, productivity, and sales effectiveness across the Commercial Sales team.
Non-Essential Responsibilities
Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of sales training materials, onboarding resources, and sales playbooks.
Support the creation and maintenance of product information, specifications, competitive positioning, and sales support materials as needed.
Champion company culture by fostering teamwork, engagement, accountability, and a positive employee experience
Support and execute departmental and company initiatives as assigned by Sales Leadership.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve sales processes, communication, and operational efficiency
Assist with special projects, reporting initiatives, and business development efforts as needed
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required
Professional Experience
2+ Years Leadership/coaching required And
3+ Years Sales experience required

Compensation:
Competitive pay range of $70,000 - 74,500 plus quarterly bonus potential * depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
