Technical Business Analyst Payments

We are seeking a skilled Technical Business Analyst with deep expertise in credit card and digital payment processing. If you understand the end-to-end payment lifecycle and love translating complex transaction flows into technical realities, we want to hear from you!

Location: Harrisburg, PA (2 S 2nd St, 17101)

Work Arrangement: Primarily Remote (Hybrid - must be able to report onsite during key phases: PI Planning, SIT, UAT, and Go-Live/Hypercare)

Key Responsibilities

• Requirement Management: Elicit, document, and map functional requirements for payment workflows (authorization, clearing, settlement, and disputes).
• Technical Translation: Translate business needs into detailed FRDs, BRDs, process flows, and REST API data-mapping schemas.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure all engineered payment pathways strictly adhere to PCI-DSS standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, QA, compliance, and third-party payment processors to deliver seamless integrations.

Core Skills & Qualifications

Required (Must-Haves):

• 4 7 years of experience as a Technical BA focused heavily on credit card/digital payments.
• Solid understanding of the payment's ecosystem (issuers, acquirers, networks, gateways, and processors).
• Practical experience with payment authorization/settlement flows and tokenization/encryption.
• Ability to read and interpret REST APIs, XML, JSON, and message schemas.
• Proficiency in writing user stories and process maps in an Agile/Scrum framework using Azure DevOps (ADO).

Highly Desired (Nice-to-Haves):

• Familiarity with payment standards and protocols: ISO 8583, ISO 20022, EMV, 3DS (3D Secure).
• Experience with major payment platforms (e.g., Stripe, Adyen, Cybersource, Fiserv, ACI, Worldpay).
• Experience with digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay) and chargeback/dispute management.
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or AAP (Accredited ACH Professional).
