Senior Java Developer

Job Description:<br />Essential:

Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring DataJPA, Spring Integration, Spring Batch, Microservices, Quartz, SQL Database (PostgreSQL), JPA (Hibernate), REST and SOAP Web Services, Messaging (ActiveMQ), Maven, Junit, Jenkins, AWS Cloud hosting and its components, Postgres/Aurora, Bootstrap, Docker, TDD, Agile (Scrum), Jaspersoft, Spring extension projects (Data, Cloud, Batch, Security), Angular.<br />• Public sector experience<br />• Strong hands-on experience with large scale Spring based java projects.<br />• Must have experience of supporting live systems and diagnosing incidents.<br />• Experience in large scale integration projects involving microservices, messaging, web-services and distributed systems.<br />• Experience with web-services - (SOAP and RESTful)<br />• Experience with containerisation (Docker)<br />• Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, Powermock, JMock, DBUnit, TestContainers.<br />• Experience of connecting processes across several systems with message brokers like ActiveMQ<br />• Experience of Continuous Integration methodologies – Maven, GIT, Jenkins, SonarQube and Stash Repository<br />• Experience of developing in a Linux development environment<br />• Experience of working with a suite of Atlassian products<br />• Experience of working with open-source database management systems like PostgreSQL<br />• Experience of working with AWS services, EC2, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, Route53, KMS, Cloudwatch<br />• Agile development methods – Scrum, Kanban, TDD, BDD etc<br />• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities<br />Desired:<br />• Experience in AWS DevOps<br />• Experience of working with Spring Cloud<br />• Experience of working with Postfix<br />• Experience of using with monitoring tools – Grafana and Prometheus<br />• Creates a cohesive working environment and build high performing teams<br />• Strong stakeholder management<br />• Expertise in Risk management
