1st-Level Support - Network Infrastructure Specialist | Frankfurt am Main, Germany | Hybrid

We are hiring on behalf of a major European transportation network provider seeking a dedicated 1st-Level Support Specialist for their network infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a critical operational environment and contribute to the seamless functioning of vital IT systems.

The Role

• Monitor and oversee the condition of the nationwide network infrastructure from an operations center.
• Provide 1st-level support for firewalls, servers, virtualization, switches, operating systems, and other operational IT systems.
• Perform initial assessment and documentation of incidents within the ticketing system.
• Initiate troubleshooting measures for components according to defined procedures.
• Communicate effectively with maintenance personnel and administrators involved in incident resolution.
• Adjust threshold values for IT components being monitored.

What You'll Need

• Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist or a comparable qualification.
• Basic knowledge of LDAP, user, and role management is advantageous.
• Structured and precise work approach with a strong willingness to learn.
• Readiness for further training and skill development.
• Willingness to work in a continuous (three-shift) 24/7 operational schedule.
• Fluent German language skills (written and spoken); English language skills are a plus.
