This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Shift Engineer to join a growing critical environment facility in Surrey. Working within a small and supportive engineering team, you will play a key role in maintaining uptime across critical infrastructure while benefiting from industry leading training and clear progression pathways.

The role operates on a continental days and nights shift pattern, averaging just 14 shifts per month, offering excellent work life balance alongside a highly competitive package.

What You'll Be Doing

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across critical electrical and building services infrastructure
Monitoring critical plant and responding to alarms and incidents
Working on UPS systems, generators, LV switchgear, cooling systems, and associated infrastructure
Completing routine inspections, plant checks, and operational monitoring
Supporting reactive maintenance and first line fault diagnosis
Maintaining accurate shift logs, reports, and handovers
Supporting specialist contractors during maintenance activities
Operating within Permit to Work and safe isolation procedures
Supporting the site's LVAP and HVAP authorisation programme
Ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, and operational performance

What We're Looking For

Electrical engineering background
Experience within a critical environment such as Data Centres, Banking, Hospitals, Pharmaceutical, or similar high uptime facilities
Strong understanding of electrical building services infrastructure
Experience working within a permit to work environment
Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
Professional attitude and willingness to develop technically
