Appian Solution Designer

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise scale Appian applications, including process models, interfaces, data models, integrations, and security.
• Contribute to and evolve the enterprise vision and standards for the Appian platform.
• Translate business requirements into HLDs and LLDs aligned with Westpac architecture and governance frameworks.
• Lead solution design activities across Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews, solution assurance, and developer guidance.

Essential Experience & Skills

• 8+ years Appian experience covering solution design and hands on development.
• Proven history of designing enterprise applications on the Appian platform.
• Demonstrated experience in solution design / architecture roles, preferably within financial institutions.
• Appian Senior Developer certification (version 23.x or newer).
• Appian Lead Developer certification (version 23.x or newer).
• Proven integration experience across legacy systems and cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of Appian best practices, security model, and performance tuning.
• Ability to deliver in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage ambiguity, drive clarity, and deliver results.
• Strong achievement and outcome oriented mindset.
