Job Summary

We are seeking a Compliance Executive to ensure adherence to all statutory, regulatory, and licensing requirements applicable to the Multi-System Operator (MSO) and Internet Service Provider (ISP) business. The role involves coordinating with government authorities, maintaining regulatory records, monitoring compliance obligations, and supporting audits and inspections.


Key Responsibilities:


Regulatory & License Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all regulations issued by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB), Department of Telecommunications (DoT), TRAI, and other applicable authorities.
  • Monitor compliance requirements related to MSO registration, ISP licenses and associated statutory obligations.
  • Maintain and track license renewals, approvals, registrations and regulatory filings.
  • Coordinate with government departments and regulatory agencies for submissions, clarifications and inspections.

Documentation & Record Management

  • Maintain statutory records, compliance registers and regulatory documentation.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of subscriber records, Customer Application Forms (CAF), KYC documents and related compliance records.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports and returns as required by regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain documentation related to network infrastructure, interconnection agreements, and broadcaster agreements.

Audit & Inspection Support

  • Coordinate internal and external compliance audits.
  • Support DoT, MIB, TRAI, and other regulatory inspections.
  • Ensure timely closure of audit observations and compliance gaps.
  • Maintain evidence and records required for regulatory reviews.

Operational Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with subscriber management system (SMS), conditional access system (CAS) and ISP operational guidelines.
  • Track implementation of regulatory directives and communicate compliance requirements to internal stakeholders.

Legal & Contractual Compliance

  • Assist in reviewing agreements with broadcasters, LCOs, vendors and service providers from a compliance perspective.
  • Coordinate with legal consultants on regulatory matters and compliance-related documentation.
  • Track compliance obligations arising from contracts and licenses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce, Business Administration or similar specialization
  • Additional certification in Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Telecom or Corporate Law will be an advantage.

Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, telecom, ISP, cable TV, broadcasting, or related industries.
  • Experience dealing with DoT, MIB, TRAI, or telecom/broadcasting regulations preferred.
  • Experience in maintaining statutory records and regulatory filings preferred.

Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of telecom, ISP, and broadcasting regulations.
  • Excellent documentation and record-management skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple compliance deadlines.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.
