Job Description
We are looking for an experienced AWS Data Lakehouse Engineer to join our Data Solutions team in EMEA.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building and optimizing scalable AWS Data Lakehouse and Data Platform solutions, developing resilient data ingestion and transformation pipelines, and ensuring high levels of data quality, reliability, performance and security.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Data Lakehouse integration architectures, including data flows, process flows and ETL/ELT patterns.
- Build, optimize and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingestion, processing and storage across data lake and lakehouse layers.
- Work with AWS services to develop reliable and scalable data engineering solutions.
- Implement data governance, security, data lineage and compliance best practices.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize data workflows, compute jobs and storage layers.
- Provide production support, troubleshooting and proactive issue resolution.
- Work closely with platform, analytics and engineering teams on data modelling, table design and storage optimization.
- Implement and work with modern lakehouse technologies such as Apache Iceberg/Delta patterns.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience in Data Engineering/Data Platform Engineering within an enterprise environment.
- Strong SQL and understanding of data transformation and orchestration.
- Experience with data integration platforms such as IBM StreamSets or Informatica.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including:
- AWS Lambda
- S3/Data Lake
- EKS
- EMR
- PySpark
- MWAA
- IAM
- Lakehouse technologies
- Strong experience with Apache Iceberg.
- Experience with Snowflake, including query optimization and performance tuning.
- Experience building batch data pipelines and/or streaming solutions.
- Experience with Kafka is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of data modelling concepts such as Kimball, Inmon and Data Vault.

Good to Have: Snowflake + dbt + Kafka + Apache Iceberg
Location: Basildon/Poland/Dublin
Work Mode: 5 Days Onsite
