Job Description
A leading manufacturer of automation solutions for the plastics industry is seeking a talented Sales Engineer to join their growing team, covering customers across the North of the UK and Ireland.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong technical background in Injection Moulding who enjoys working with customers and wants to use their industry knowledge in a role that combines engineering expertise, problem-solving and relationship building.
Up to 55,000 + bonus + car
Homebased - North
You will play a key role in understanding customer requirements, providing technical solutions, and helping manufacturers improve efficiency, productivity and automation within their operations.
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities across your territory.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing, lapsed, and prospective customers.
- Visiting customer sites throughout the UK to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Delivering technical advice and support, helping customers maximise productivity and efficiency.
- Promoting and selling automation solutions.
- Managing sales opportunities from initial enquiry through to quotation, negotiation, order and project completion.
To be successful as a Sales Engineer, you will have:
- A strong technical understanding of injection moulding processes, machinery, and robotics / automation.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage at all levels.
- A strong commercial awareness and a genuine interest in developing customer relationships.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and manage your own territory.
- The ambition to build a long-term career in technical sales.
- A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel throughout the UK.
