Cloud DevOps Engineer – Cloud Center of Excellence
Location: San Jose, CA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week
Expected Start: Mid-September 2026
Contract Duration: Through January 2027, with potential extension/conversion
Experience: 8–15 years, depending on seniority and scope
Role Summary
We are seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer with strong Azure expertise to join our client's Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and optimize Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Develop automation and scripts using PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Work with Git, ArgoCD, and Azure Repos for source control and deployment automation.
- Support Kubernetes/containerized environments, including deployment and infrastructure management.
- Apply cloud security best practices across infrastructure and workloads.
- Work extensively with cloud networking, including routing, switching, firewalls, and network architecture.
- Support API management and cloud-based application integrations.
- Collaborate with CCoE engineers and architects in San Jose and San Diego, as well as the CCoE team in the Netherlands.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development and engineering practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure.
- AWS experience is preferred.
- Strong cloud networking background.
- Knowledge of routing, switching, firewalling, and network security.
- Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization.
- Strong experience with Terraform and Ansible.
- Expertise in Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Experience with KQL for cloud monitoring, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
- Experience with Git, ArgoCD, and Azure Repos.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Required Certifications
Candidates should have at minimum:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
