Job Description

Cloud DevOps Engineer – Cloud Center of Excellence

Location: San Jose, CA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week
Expected Start: Mid-September 2026
Contract Duration: Through January 2027, with potential extension/conversion
Experience: 8–15 years, depending on seniority and scope

 

Role Summary

We are seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer with strong Azure expertise to join our client's Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE).

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and optimize Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
  • Develop automation and scripts using PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Work with Git, ArgoCD, and Azure Repos for source control and deployment automation.
  • Support Kubernetes/containerized environments, including deployment and infrastructure management.
  • Apply cloud security best practices across infrastructure and workloads.
  • Work extensively with cloud networking, including routing, switching, firewalls, and network architecture.
  • Support API management and cloud-based application integrations.
  • Collaborate with CCoE engineers and architects in San Jose and San Diego, as well as the CCoE team in the Netherlands.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development and engineering practices.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure.
  • AWS experience is preferred.
  • Strong cloud networking background.
  • Knowledge of routing, switching, firewalling, and network security.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization.
  • Strong experience with Terraform and Ansible.
  • Expertise in Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
  • Experience with KQL for cloud monitoring, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
  • Experience with Git, ArgoCD, and Azure Repos.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

 

Required Certifications

Candidates should have at minimum:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
